In 1983, about two years after his wife’s passing, Barker met Nancy Burnet, his long-time companion and partner in animal advocacy. Burnet is a co-executor of his estate. Burnet is the current president of United Activists for Animal Rights, which she founded in 1987. Burnet has also been the vice president and executive director of Barker’s nonprofit, the DJ&T Foundation, believed to be named after his late and only wife, Dorothy Jo and Barker’s mother, Matilda (Tilly), both of whom loved animals.
DID BOB BARKER EVER HAVE CHILDREN?
No Bob Barker never had any children. He married the love of his life, Dorothy Jo, who he met at age 15 and claimed they had no time for children. After his wife’s passing and by the time he met Burnet in 1983, the animals became his children, his charity, and his life.
